Our Materials

Premium Sail Cloth Technologies

Cross-cut Dacron

We use three types of high tenacity woven Dacron  Sail Cloths from which we make our Cross-Cut cruising sails.

Using super high tenacity fibers means high breaking strength, low stretch and better natural UV resistance.

HTCD

High Tenacity Cruz Dacron

An all-purpose weave woven from High Tenacity Polyester suitable for low key cruising and charter boats. HTCD allows to build Day Cruiser, Costal Cruising and Charter Fleet sails at a great price point.

Best For:Day Cruiser, Coastal Cruising, Charter Fleets

Features:Great value, Good durability, Excellent UV resistance

APCD

All Purpose Cruise Dacron

A tight all-purpose weave made of heavy denier, high tenacity yarns offering better shape holding properties, bullet proof durability and fantastic UV resistance. Great for long distance cruisers looking for a super robust but reasonable cost sail solution.

We use:Challenge Fastnet, Contender Super-Cruise, or Dimension Polyant Sea Breeze

Best For:Long Distance Cruising, Offshore Sailing

HMD

High Modulus Dacron

Featuring high performance Dacron weaves in both high-aspect (Mainsail) and low-aspect (Genoa) weaves. Extremely tightly woven from smaller denier yarns with superior shape holding ability. Offers a great solution for the discerning sailor looking for a premium sail, for cruising as well as club racing.

We use:Challenge Newport, Contender Fibercon, or Dimension Polyant AP/SF

Best For:Premium Cruising, Club Racing, High Performance

Radial Dacron

We offer three ranges of woven materials for radial-cut cruising sails, all crafted from the highest-grade super high-tenacity fibers for superior shape retention and durability.

RDC

Radial Dacron Cruise

Our entry-level radial Dacron features a highly balanced weave with low warp crimp, ensuring a smooth transition between panels thanks to its low warp-to-bias stretch ratio. This material is ideal for low-aspect sails like overlapping cruising genoas.

Typical choice:Challenge Newport Proradial

WSD

Warp Strong Dacron

Designed for high-performance radial sails in demanding applications—such as mainsails and high-aspect-ratio headsails—this range combines larger warp yarns with extremely low warp crimp, achieving exceptional warp stretch resistance (1% stretch values). Perfect for performance cruisers who enjoy competitive club racing without the trade-offs of laminated materials.

Common selections:Challenge WarpDrive or Dimension Polyant PR

HMW

High Modulus Warp

This advanced woven material blends Dacron with UHMPE (Dyneema/Spectra) warp fibers, delivering explosive warp-loading strength and outstanding durability. A lightweight yet robust alternative to cruising laminates, HMW excels in longevity without sacrificing performance.

Common selections:Contender Hybrid or Dimension Polyant Hydranet
